***CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER, NOT EXPECTED TO SHIP IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS*** Tahquamenon Falls is located in Michigan’s upper peninsula, in Tahquamenon Falls State Park which is nearly 50,000 acres. The Upper Falls is 200 feet wide, and one of the largest waterfalls in the eastern United States. They are featured in this gorgeous mural by impressionist Chelsea Hensbergen.
The river’s unique color is caused by tannins that seep from trees in the swamps that feed into it. The signature foam is caused by a combination the churning of the falls and the softness of the water. All around you can see many varieties of wildlife native to the area including bald eagles, black bears, foxes, otters, beavers and more.
